Caring Without Self-Erasure:
A Trauma-Informed Somatic & Expressive Arts Experience
Date: Saturday, February 7, 2026
Time: 11 am - 2 pm PST
Location: In-person at our offices in Seattle, WA
Sliding Scale Pricing: $75 / $90 / $105
You care fiercely.
About your work. Your relationships. Your community.
You notice what others miss. You step in. You hold things together. This is a brave, trauma-informed adaptation. You learned to anticipate, step in, and manage because it kept you connected and safe.
And somewhere along the way, caring started to cost you.
This workshop is for women who want to keep showing up—fiercely and fully—without carrying more than their share, overextending, or disappearing in the process.
This is not about caring less.
It’s about caring from a safer, more sustainable place inside yourself.
In this 3-hour experiential workshop, we’ll explore:
How care and responsibility live in your body
How overfunctioning develops as a survival response
What shifts when care comes from choice instead of compulsion
Through guided somatic imagery and expressive arts, you’ll experience (not just understand) what it feels like to care fiercely without self-erasure.
This workshop is for you if:
You care deeply and often carry more than your share
You step in before being asked, smoothing over challenges, or holding things together
You feel responsible for how things turn out—at work, at home, or in relationships
You’re sensitive, attuned, and thoughtful—not because you’re fragile, but because you notice
You want to continue caring fiercely without feeling depleted, resentful, or invisible
You don’t need a title or position to belong here.
This space is for everyday women who care, and want their care to be sustainable and empowering.
What We’ll Do Together:
Somatic & Embodiment Practices
Explore where responsibility lives in your body
Notice what it feels like to set down what isn’t yours to carry
Practice offering care fiercely yet freely, without overfunctioning
Expressive Arts Integration
Give form to your internal experience through simple art materials
Explore care from survival vs. care from choice
Visualize what sustains you vs. what depletes you
No art experience is needed. This is about expression, not perfection.
You’ll walk away with:
An embodied experience of caring fiercely without overextending
Greater clarity about what is yours to carry and what isn’t
A somatic reference point you can return to when you feel pulled to overfunction
A visual expression that anchors your shift beyond words
Permission to continue caring and contributing, without self-abandonment
If you’re tired of care costing you more than it gives back…
If you want to continue contributing fiercely and fully…
If you’re curious what it might feel like to care from a safer place inside yourself…
You’re warmly invited.
